The server side database on the Google Application Engine is now working.
Smalltalk data is stored in Google’s “Big Table” database as serialized objects in JSON format.
At the moment, only basic elements are supported: numbers (double, integer), strings, and booleans.
This will be extended to cover all Smalltalk objects including dictionaries, collections, and classes.
Using JSON encoding on the server means that the Smalltalk object database can be accessed and manipulated by server scripting languages such as Python, Groovy and Clojure.
